The Manitoba Family Tax Benefit is a non-refundable tax credit available to individuals and families.
Note: The benefit amounts for dependants must be claimed by the spouse or common-law partner with the higher income. If the parents of a dependent child are not married or living common-law, only one of them may claim the benefit. If they cannot decide who will claim the credit, we recommend that it should be claimed with the person who has the higher income.
If you are living in Manitoba, you can make a claim for the Manitoba Family Tax Benefit.
If you meet the eligibility requirement outlined above, H&R Block’s tax software will automatically apply the credit amount to your return.
